Save Three Sheets

I just wanted to post this on my blog to just help spread the word:

SAVE THREE SHEETS!!!

OK, as you probably have heard by now, MOJO HD is going off the air as of December 1st. The big surprise, however, is that another network hasn't swooped in to grab it. What's up with thaaaat?

We have 15 NEW episode completed and 5 more in the works. Can you imagine not ever being able to see them?! So, a grass-roots campaign has been started to SAVE THREE SHEETS. Some radio stations have gotten involved, but the power really is with you.

Here are some networks that would make sense. Send them emails. Tell your friends. Spread the word. Inundate the them! Call your local radio station to have them get the word out! Blog about it! Don't let the most fun show on TV end up on the web!

Feel free to send people to my MySpace page. MySpace.com/ZaneLamprey
I'll put the following info on my page...

Here's Spike's email address (they also have an HD channel):
feedback@spike.com

Here's Comedy Central feedback form:
http://www.comedycentral.com/help/questionsCC.jhtml

Here's the Travel Channel form (they also have an HD channel):
http://www.travelchannel.com/About/Viewer_Relations

Here's the form for Discovery Channel (they also have an HD channel):
http://extweb.discovery.com/viewerrelations

Here's the form for E!:
https://www.hostedsupport.com/Support/i ... Flag=FALSE

Don't let me become "that guy who used to host that drinking show"!!!

Cheers!

Zane

Three Sheets!!!

inDemand... you cable b@stards!!! Why the heck are you doing away with MojoHD? It is one of the best HD if not only HD channels I watch on a constant basis. Three Sheets is the best program ever! Zane is hilarious and the folks he gets drunk with are definitely 3 sheet worthy! The best was the beer hunter... that dood was a fool! Anyhow, inDemand you guys stink! The best channel ever - 3 Sheets, I Bet You, Technology Jones, Bobby G, Startup Junkies, After Hours, man the list goes on and on.

Anyhow, for those of you that do love 3 sheets as much as I do - Zane has confirmed the following on his myspace page:

Is MOJO HD closing its doors???

I've had many people sending me messages asking about the rumor that MOJO HD is closing its doors. Yes, the rumor is true. It's going dark on December 1st.

What will happen with "Three Sheets"?
We're not going away. In fact, I'm in Greece right now, shooting an episode for Season 4. Season 4 will air-- just not on MOJO HD. More info to follow.

What about the New Years Eve special?
A New Years Eve special was shot, and I was told that I could still show it at my New Years Eve party, ZaneFest.com When I get more info on watching it on TV, I'll let you know...

MOJO HD was a great place to work. We have them to thank for Three Sheets. MOJO, Cheers to you!

Here's a snippet from an on-line article:
"The Mojo HD channel was originally conceived as a way to satisfy
consumers' thirst for pure true high definition programming," In Demand,
owned by three big cable operators, said in a statement. "While Mojo HD
accomplished this goal, there is a wealth of HD programming now available
and thus we have chosen to discontinue the service." In Demand said it had
no other comment but confirmed the channel would go dark by about Dec. 1,
with some variability among systems carrying it."

See you soon. Cheers!

-- so again... inDemand thanks for pulling the plug on one of the greatest HD channels ever. I hope this is not in response to Wealth HD's claim that it was their idea in he first place to create a shows that are seen on MojoHD. Well, what's done is done - so now we will have to catch Zane on his website or whatever channel will now pickup Three Sheets!

Enjoi.

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.4/en/mh2339.html - recalibrate battery
Intel notebooks, which includes all MacBooks and MacBook Pros, use the following method of calibration: [1]

Plug in the power adapter and fully charge your laptop's battery until the light ring or LED on the power adapter plug changes to green and the onscreen meter in the menu bar indicates that the battery is fully charged.
Allow the battery to rest in the fully charged state for at least two hours. You may use your computer during this time as long as the adapter is plugged in.
Disconnect the power adapter with the computer still on and start running the computer off battery power. You may use your computer during this time. When your battery gets low, you will see the low battery warning dialogue on the screen.
Continue to keep your computer on until it goes to sleep. Save all your work and close all applications when the battery gets very low, before the computer goes to sleep.
Turn off the computer or allow it to sleep for five hours or more.
Connect the power adapter and leave it connected until the battery is fully charged again.
Battery calibration will help your computer display accurate information, and will give you an accurate picture of your battery's relative health and ability to hold a charge. If you believe that your battery is not holding a sufficient charge, perform a calibration first, and then reexamine your battery's health.

Zap the PRAM - Hold Command-Option-P-R at startup and hold until you hear 3 startup chimes.

When establishing bluetooth connection

1. On your BlackBerry screen select the “Set Up Bluetooth” icon. This will automatically start a search for other Bluetooth devices, on the train I found about 10 devices!
2. On your Mac go to System preferences and click the Bluetooth icon.
3. On the Setting tab I turned on “Discoverable” just so my phone could see, not sure if its necessary but if gave confirmation that the devices could see each other while I was trouble shooting.
4. Next click the Devices tab and click “Set Up New Device”. This will start the “Bluetooth Setup Assistant” that walks you through finding your BlackBerry. For device type select “Mobile Phone”.
5. It will now search all around you for mobile phones. Again, being on a train it found a bunch of them. My BlackBerry didn’t have a nice friendly name so it just showed up as a Mac Address like this “00:1C:CF:8C:C6:A1″ as did many others. To find your phones Bluetooth Mac address just click you phones menu button while you’re in the “Set Up Bluetooth” application. Select “Option”. The Bluetooth address is list as “Device Address”.
6. Now back on your Mac Laptop look for your Device Address in the list of found. Select your device address and click Continue.
7. Now the Setup Assistant will connect to your BlackBerry. Once there is a hand shake you can click continue and a Passkey will appear on the screen. Its an 8 digit string. if you look on you BlackBerry it is now asking you to enter this string.
8. Now you have connect you devices, next the Setup assistant will ask you what services you want to Setup. I only selected “Access the Internet with your phone’s data connection” since I have no need to share address books.
9. Now you will see a screen asking you to configure your internet connection. You can leave the Username and Password blank. For the Phone Number enter this string “*99**1#”. For the Modem script I’ve heard of custom ones for the 8830, but I just selected “Sprint PCS Vision”. Select both the Check boxes at the bottom, it’s just easier to deal with when you have the Bluetooth and Modem icon in your menu bar.
10. Click continue and ou will be given a congratulation screen indicating that eveythng is now setup up successfully.
11. Now click the little phone icon in your menu bar and the drop down should have the option to connect. Select connect and with any luck a little “time online” indicator will show up beside it and your online!

Under PPP options in the networking section of system preferences under PPP, turn off PPP echo packets and TCP header compression.

If you re pair the computer with your BT phone, you will need to redo this as it will reset by default.

This is the prinicple reason why you will get diconnects after a few minutes of second on a otherwise good connection.

Sprint SERO FAQ
http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/680568/

SPRINT DISCOUNT
I just got back from a business trip in Vegas and I found out about a 15% discount for Sprint. It works on every voice plan so you arent limited by SERO. The discount is available to family, friends, employees and dealers of Luxottica (aka Lenscrafters) this is a good discount and saved me over $ 40 a month.

The code is good for existing Sprint customers you can get the discount by calling 866-853-4931 for Sprint or 800-390-9545 for Nextel. The code is Sprint: 0583325597 or Nextel NLUUI_ZZZ

They also have a website to get the discount on new phones.

Connect to Web
Sprint HTC Mogul/SERO Notes

It seems Sprint is up to shenanigans in regards to tethering for SERO users. Those of you running Sprint ROMs should navigate to the following registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing" and delete the string value named "Extension". This will allow you to connect to the Internet via the Internet Sharing app without the dreaded error 67/authentication errors. Previous to this fix, Mogul SERO users would have to connect to the Internet via another method (such as starting Internet Explorer first) before pressing the Connect button in the the Internet Sharing application.

If you're really paranoid (it has been concluded these entries have no meaning when using Internet Sharing), using a registry editor, navigate to the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\WModem" key, and set the "CheckProfile", "Multi-NAI" and "WModemDUN" DWORDS to a decimal value of "0".

Had the same problem talked to tech support.I did exactly what they said and it worked perfectly, Go to settings then under personal select the today icon. at the bottom select items. At the bottom you'll see a "today timeout" box next to that a box where you can select how many hours of no use to perform the function. Uncheck that box in order to disable the function completely. Then reset the device. I went from resetting 2-3 times a day to none and its been a week. I guess WM6 keep count. Try it it works

Ipod copy to PC

http://www.cnet.com/4520-7899_1-6477981-1.html

Enable View Hidden Folders function.
In the iPod folder, go to Tools > Folder Options and click the View tab. You'll see a bunch of advanced settings for how Windows displays file information. In the Hidden files and folders section, select "Show hidden files and folders," then click OK.

6
Open sesame.
Here's where the magic happens. In the iPod folder, you'll now see a few new, half-grayed-out folders. Double-click the one called iPod_Control. Then double-click the Music folder. See all of those numbered folders in there? Each one contains between 40 and 60 or so of your iPod's songs.

If you're looking for specific songs or don't mind grabbing all of these folders, you can probably take it from here; just copy and paste or drag the songs into a folder on your computer. But there's a better way--keep reading.

7
Create a destination folder.
If you want to be able to find all of this music easily in one folder later, create a new folder on your desktop or within your Music folder, and give it a name.

8
Search for all music on the iPod.
Click the Search button at the top of the iPod's Music folder. The Search column will appear in the left side of the window. Make sure that "Search for files and folders" appear at the top of this column; if not, click the underlined phrase "Files and folders" at the bottom of the column. Do not enter any text into the two search boxes, but be sure to select your iPod in the Look In drop-down menu. Then expand the Advanced Options section and check the box for "Search hidden files and subfolders." Click Search Now.

9
Search by type.
You'll see a whole bunch of search results, but don't be alarmed. Sort them by file type by clicking Type at the top of the file-type column, just to the right of Size. Now, you can see all of the iPod's music in chunks, separated by file type. Select the top song you want, then scroll down, hold the Shift key, and select the bottom one you want.

10
Copy the music.
Now that you have the music selected, drag and drop or copy and paste it into the new folder you created in step 7. Just sit back as the music flows from iPod to PC. Before you close your iPod window, uncheck Advanced Options so that you turn off the View Hidden Folders option. That preference can cause unsightly clutter in your non-iPod folders.
